Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are an organization's guardrails. They help prevent catastrophes and offer a convenient aid if you stumble. But, unless you work directly in compliance or technical writing, chances are you've maybe only seen one or two SOPs. So why are they so important?

Because getting everyone on the same page with how to do a task is critical for reducing errors, speeding up quality control, and leaving the organization open to fewer legal risks!

As an added bonus, standardization means fewer routine questions. That saves time for everyone at every level to be doing their best work!

I've written a guideline for creating SOPs - An SOP for SOPs! Now, even if you don't hire me, you'll have a good idea of how to make your own.

(Here's a download for it in Word, PDF, and if you're feeling spicy, HTML. If you're feeling extra adventurous, here's the github repository: https://github.com/Janube/SOP)
